BECOMING A JEWISH STUDIES MINOR​

The path into the Jewish Studies Minor begins by taking at least one Jewish Studies course and meeting with the Director of Undergraduate Studies to plan and declare your Minor. Students are assigned a Minor advisor who guides them through course selection and related opportunities connected to the program.

MINOR REQUIREMEMENTS

The Jewish Studies Minor consists of 6 courses totalling 18 credits:

One course each from the following three categories as approved by the minor advisor:​

  • History and Society
  • Belief and Thought
  • Language, Literature and Culture (Note: A Hebrew-language course at any level can be counted toward the “Language, Literature and Culture” distribution requirement.)

ELECTIVES

Three additional courses selected as electives in conjunction with the advisor. Students must complete a minimum of three courses at the 3000 level or above.​
