Adam Cohn

Adam Cohn, Assistant Professor of Spanish (General Faculty), specializes in modern Spanish literature and culture. He studies the representation of Jews, Jewishness, and Judaism in twentieth-century Spanish literature, in particular the relationship between philosephardic thought and (anti-)colonialism. He is also interested in contemporary Jewish culture in Spain, Federico García Lorca, and Spanish Civil War literature. His scholarly work has appeared in Bulletin of Spanish Studies, Romance Quarterly, and Anales de la Literatura Española Contemporánea. Adam received his Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Virginia in 2021.
